Problem Note 59426: Viewing data from SAS® Federation Server Manager 4.2 returns the error “The data cannot be shown..."
When viewing data in SAS Federation Server Manager 4.2, you might receive the following error:
The data cannot be shown because either the source does not exist or it cannot be accessed.
This error occurs if large row-level security has been applied.
For example, a particular user is required to be a part of 17 groups. Row-level security has been applied on these 17 groups in SAS Federation Server, and these groups are the various sources from which data is being extracted. When you try to view the data, the SAS Federation Server log with tracing shows the following error:
ERROR [00005441] Audit.Table.Security.Provider...SELECT privilege RLS predicate truncated. Privilege will be denied.
A workaround is to ensure that users are not associated with more than 10 groups.
